Animal Wire Sculpture

This is my wire sculpture of a monkey. It was made using wire and paper mache. The monkey is green and is eating a big, bright yellow banana. The contrast of its pink cheeks to the pale color of its skin makes the monkey seem livelier and the bright yellow of the banana really stands out against the darker green of the monkey. I used a thin line of black to clearly define the monkey's features and distinguish the banana from the monkey's face. I had difficulty figuring out how I would structure the monkey because I wanted to include a lot of details, such as its hands and paws. Looking back, I wish I could've added a bit of wire to the hands and paws to make it look more realistic.
